Throwing in the towel
« on: July 03, 2008, 01:32:46 PM »

Well, the Yamaha FZ6 has been put up for sale.  I bought it 12 months ago and have never ridden it (due to failing my "big bike" test, twice).

I've decided I don't need (or want) anything fast on 2-wheels and that a nice 125 will be fine for commuting and having a bit of fun.

So, once the big bike goes, I'll also sell my Yamaha YBR125 and I'm thinking this Supermoto 125 will tick some boxes:

British company, British design, Taiwanese parts, made in China.

Sorry to hear about the FZ6 man.  Not going 10,000 miles an hour isn't necessarily a bad thing :).  My bike says it'll do 150, I doubt I'll ever take it over 75.

That's a crazy lookin' bike.  I bet it gets insane gas mileage.  The perfect commuter.

Sorry to hear about the FZ.  I too think a supermoto would be a sweet town bike.

Went and bought it this morning!

Part exchanged my YBR125 - they gave me £650 for it, so I've only lost £150 in almost a year of owning it...  Shame I can't say the same for my FZ6, but hey ho.

So, it should be getting delivered on Thursday next week...  I'm pretty excited.

It sounds super cool for a 125, nice deep exhaust note!
