Maybe B-team cares?
« on: May 06, 2008, 10:06:51 AM »

I just got my dyno numbers  disappointed

hp 163
torque 176
psi 15.4

ran it on 91 octane

vs the old readings (175/199) on 93/94 octane

should be upgrading exhaust and cam within the next few weeks

no, just not as fresh as it once was... everything is a year older...
edit: actually the compression test i had done in AZ last fall showed 170-180 across all cylinders and the leak down i had done yesterday showed under 7% across all cylinders... one of the cylinders was actually below 2%!  Beezer built my head in PA... but he has moved FYI- he's somewhere near Frapples place.

Contributing factors to decline:
91 octane vs 94/95
ambient temp was higher
dyno itself is notorious for putting slightly lower numbers- according to owner of shop
residual oil left in combustion chamber (i was there to replace seeping valve stem seals)

yeah...  you can get race gas at certain places for $8++++ a gallon (98-103 unleaded)

otherwise the reading were very consistent, air/fuel mix is good, charger is boosting...

next time I dyno, it will have the cam, exhaust, and racing fuel... should put me over my previous numbers
