I get the impression that DCI is a front for a handful of elitests with moderately nice cars who surround themselves with people who cant think for themselves, who need to be part of something to feel better about themselves. Its a viscious cycle. -big bentley on vortex

Bike Part Website

What are the sites you use to buy bike parts?  I didn't know if anyone has a site where parts are fairly cheap (versus buying them at the bike shop).  Or do you just typically order out of catalogs?

Yea I usually support local businesses with this sort of stuff.  The closest one to me is kind of lame (they don't have some of the most common tubes, etc...).  The other shops are on the east side of town, no biggie but still it's a bit annoying.

thanks

I usually browse a list of my usual suspects..between those places I always found a deal.

webcyclery.com <- great dudes, Bend
universalcycles.com <- Pdx
jensonusa.com <- Cali hell
cambriabike.com <- same

In Seattle theres Recycled Cycles, but their eltitism pushed me away. To their credit, i picked up an absolute baller XC frame there a couple years ago for $175

i end up going to these guys fairly often, by accident at first but now i traditionally hit them up first.

http://www.bikeman.com/

and as usual, jenson and nashbar for more generic shit, can score some pretty sweet deals if you're looking and pretty much always have promotional codes going on.

if i had local options i'm sure i'd support them more often.  oh and ebay too.  but i'd prolly buy my groceries even from ebay if i could get away with it.

fuck the seven speed turk, build up an old sturmey hub i am DIGGING mine, just enough range and not to many gears  dance!
