I get the impression that DCI is a front for a handful of elitests with moderately nice cars who surround themselves with people who cant think for themselves, who need to be part of something to feel better about themselves. Its a viscious cycle. -big bentley on vortex

this thing is so fucking wicked. i rode it without paint most of the season as i broke my old one and the paint shop couldn't get me in. our major race series just ended but there are a few more local races and a couple USGP (a national race tour) events left here in town. 42 degrees and pouring today, gawd it was awful. waiting for the results to see if i'm in the money for the season overall but i doubt it- oregon has several pro's that swing dick well better than myself. yay!

Pretty sweet looking bike.  I've become addicted, I want more bikes.  Are there any more road courses left in Portland or are they all velodrome ones?

I haven't called because when I get around to it I figure you're at work!

It's a cyclocross so it's for offroad and road biking.  Notice how in the clean version his tires are bigger and have stubs compared to a road bike that has REALLY tiny tires.   Same "breed" as the one I got (thread is in here too) but no where near the coolness factor that Toner is representing.

Is this the bike you said your friend made for your free of charge?

technically it was made by two people- vanilla did the brazing on the rear triangle and desalvo tig welded the front triangle. it was a fleet of race specific bikes called speedvagen. it's the most awesome thing i've ever had. the wheels are retarded and way better than me, too- king hubs and 68mm deep carbon tubulars made by edge. they ride themselves.

i looked into a desalvo frame for a while, befoe i realized im way to ignant to feel the difference between a $700 frame and a $1500 completely custom fitted frame.  downtown
