If you plan to attempt the "endless setlist", there are a couple of things you should know:

1.  you can pause it, but not save it half way through
2. Any song you buy/download will be added to this set list (example- Timmy and the lords of the underworld)
3. It goes in order of difficulty
4. Play one level down from the one you think you can play because making it to the 57th song out of 58 songs and not being able to get through it SUCKS!

and most important!
5. Make sure it is well ventilated because after playing for 6 hours straight you will fry it and have to buy a new 40GB (since they aren't making 80GB right now) from Target (since they have a 90 day return policy even if you open it and play with it) so you can still play GTA while you wait for Sony to send you a box and repair yours....

and don't forget to blink
 

i don't know if it would be cost effective, but we have an extra game & mic we could sell you.  let me know before friday as i'll be back in philly for the weekend.  i know you can buy the guitar and drum separately, but it might still be cheaper for you to get the bundle if it's still available.   

you are correct. i dont think it woudl be cost effective anyway. unless you sold the game and mic to me for $20. the guitar alone is $60 and the drums are about the same. i dont NEED the guitar because i hve my guitar hero one but i want two guitars so i have a bassist.

i am trying to hold back from buying this! dammit man!

on xbox 360 the guitar hero guitar works with rockband?  PS3, not so...   but yeah, we are on PS3. 

the rb strat just doesnt feel like a total piece of plastic shit either. its got some weight to it.
