I drove out there this morning around 10am and unfortunately they won't let people in to their homes for safety as the fire is still pretty close, but I got sneaky and drove up a ridge and I could see the area where my hose is through the smoke.  It's still there.   :joel:  Yay!!  So hopefully things continue to go well tonight. We are still in a hotel just waiting to go home.  I am fucking bored.


Apparently the Rice fire is moving away from my house but it is being extremely erratic and jumping all over the place.  Keep hoping for us.

Ray, where you headed man?  Make sure you can get wherever before you leave.  Roads keep opening for a bit and then closing again at random.

just found out my dad and grandparents were evacuated (RB), but ok.

I also talked to Hans, he's been evacuated twice (GF and parents), but he is also ok.

i have a couch if it's needed (LA).

So yeah.  My house was safe this morning, but I found this just a bit ago and it shows th fire crossing over Gird road right by my house.  lame.

Sorry to hear about all this.  I know this year we had some pretty bad wild fires going on in the Virgin River Gorge.  The ash from that was so bad that it travelled about 75 miles to my parents' house.  But I haven't seen shit near me get as bad as it is in Cali.

I heard a big fire was happening at Fallbrook, where James and Mike live (and that a big gas main had exploded going into camp pendleton).  Are they ok?  I don't know their screennames on DCI.

James and Mike both no longer live in Fallbrook.  James lives in San Marcos which was having to deal with the Coronado Hills Fire and from what I have heard, he is in the clear now.  His name is El Frijole on the forums.

Mike is Redbaron and he is out is Oceanside.  I think they are just getting a ton of ash dunped on them but I believe they are safe. 

My house is in the Fallbrook area.  Next to no news is coming out of that area so last night I went to see for myself.  It looks like the fire is farther north than the fire maps show.  I am pretty confident that my house is safe. 

Keeps us all in your thoughts and prayers as this is some lame shit.  Supposedly we may not be let home until the 1st.

were okay just gotta deal with shitty air quality for a while , my lil one has been scared cuz all they show on TV is these f-ing fires and all he see's from his room window is a black sky. just trying to keep him busy and our minds off the fire's.
