Ya, it was, but the build quality doesn't get much better.  It just goes faster.  I've got a friend who's a dealer tech for Dodge in Eugene (talk about job security) and did a pre-delivery inspection on a Viper ACR.  He said it was like driving a cramped Neon that burned out EVERYWHERE.
