i bet you were, did he know what he had?

yeah, two years is quite some time to have a car and not drive it, although im kinda guilty of that to when i had a mk2 jetta coupe. it sat for about a year... then i sold it.

this winter/spring is when i plan on doing a little fixxing up of the green car..ie: a little more shaving of things, some body work, polishing/chroming and getting rid of things that are not needed. oh, cant forget some interior work as well. but for right now the main thing i want to get fixed is the trans. it has once again leaked out all its fluid all over the place.

naah, I dont think he did.. he seemed like kindof a dope, and he hadn't had his scirocco for a few years prior.

I had to get a second set of the blacked out corners, and explorer backed into my car outside my apartment.. I was actually able to reattach the lens with black RTV, but it is far from beautiful.. I have a brand new set sitting in boxes when I decide to take all those lights apart again.

the last real thing I did to it was the megasquirt installation.. that was back in the summer of 2005.. between having my laptop stolen and being totally undermotivated, it's managed to sit there for a while with a messed up trans (my trademark).

I guess all I really "need" to drive it is the wedge brackets to hold the recaros in.. I have a trans that would work.

oooh, nice... were they painted with automotive paint or some type of house paint? i bought my euro bumpers from a guy in rockville and they were painted with white latex paint.. i was a pain to sand off to.

this is almost identical to what my 82 looked liked when i got it... just add a sunroof

I think it was just spraypaint.. I used some "flexible bumper stripper" I got at an auto parts store.. it sprayed on like a gel and 10 minutes later, the paint came off with a hose.. luckily the fucker didnt paint the headlamp washers with the same stuff.

I used SEM bumper primer to repaint them.. I love that shit.. I did it like 5 years ago and it still looks beautiful, like uncoated/unfaded plastic.

Here's the turd I bought off ETom, my brother spun a bearing in (he's in the picture violating it), put a leaky 2.0 in, moved out of the state and sold to Scuba for parts. Not sure where those wheels are now, but I have the centers and tool for them.
