I use synth CV grease on the end fitting and hammer it in with a rubber mallet. Never had a problem. If the waterpump end is rusty, sanding it a bit will do it.

how rusty are yoru guys's motors? guess being in the middel of a ultra dry climet helps my motors not be all that rusty.

it was pretty nasty, i just took some 60 grit and went around it a few times then put some grease on it like paul said and the bitch went right in.  thanks fellas.
