Yarr here be my vessel. 98 turrrrrboooo tippy with NoSpeed 1 Bar, Bilstein sports, Eibach ProKit (not in this pic gar), 16X7 Swings and BFG g-Force Sports.
There are projector style headlight assemblies available and even some HID kits - all of them will replace your fog lights (not that they do any good) and some are even decent quality (Hella) - check out passat world (
www.passatworld.com) and snoop around.
PS with any B5 start a fix it fund for things that will break - known issues ABS controller ($$$$), ICM (AEB motor IE cable throttle), control arms, door locks ($150-$200 per door not including the friggin pain to remove the doorpanels GARRR!), window regulators, sunroof controls and pretty much anything electrical (the fancier the model the more things that can go wrong). Drivetrains are good - if it's a 1.8T remember synthetic oil every 3K miles or.... If it's a tiptronic have it serviced ASAP (tip fluid, trans filter) dealers call the ATF fluid "lifetime" but it's NOT. 98-00 models came with crap timing belt tensioners - have it checked if you need to swap do the waterpump at the same time. Drive by wire 1.8Ts have coil pack issues, at least those are cheap.
