clutch fork? mk4's done have them right, cuz they have a hydroic throwout bearing that repalces the fork.

and i wish the peddel was suck as that would be easy to fix.

thanks

Well I forget the name of it, the metal bar that holds the throw out bearing that the hydraulic piston pushes on.. thats what I am talking about.. if that was bent I could see it being unable to depress the clutch all the way.

yeah, 1.8t's dont have thougs. the hydroic piston is part of the throwout bearing, the whole bearing pulsates when u push the peddel, n oneed for a fork thingy. my vr6 has the part your talking about as does my tdi passat tranny, but 1.8t's dont have that part totaly diffrent set up's. thanks

I only had my 1.8t tranny out once for the stage 2 clutch, so I don't have any clue as to why thats happening to you... I guess I can look around online today  downtown

It takes hours, I mean hours to bleed those throwout bearings. This kind of throwout bearing only applies to 6spd clutches and is a pain int the ass. One time I had to remove the throwout bearing and bench bleed it in a bucket of brake fluid. When you get stuck on one of these, you get so frustrated.

see thats what i was thinking, that im just not able to bleed it properly w/ the bleeder in such a fukced up spot i dont see how ud ever get teh air out of the damn bearking.

fuck me sidways....

scuba, u figure out anyway to bleed it properly w/ out remvoing the damn thing? its going to take the hand of god to get that fucking bearing out of my car so i can "bench" bleed it. the book didnt say shit about bench bleeding nor did the 3 peopel i asked for advice that hav edone this shit befor.

this is the last probelm i need to get over befor i can drive the fucking heap of shit!.....

this throwout desing is a real POS if u ask me.

is it possible to convert it to a old style (aka VR6) set up?.....
