My replacement car is reflex silver..

2001 GTI VR6. 45,000 miles. Guy was first owner, kept all records on it. Guess its a good daily driver. :)

I needed something reliable so Im spending a bit more with help. But I like it alot!! It drives real nice. Got it for a pretty damn good price in my opinion too. Anyway, thought you guys might like an update. Here's some pics from my phone. Im actually getting it right now as I speak.

Oh and the guy had everything, all the way down to all the replacement flip keys, to the pen that came with the manual.

I paid $9000 for it. Considering what KBB says, that's a damn good price. Granted nobody in the dealer/insurance world looks at KBB anymore.

Well this car is the second most amazing thing that's happened to me this year!! I fucking love it soooo much!!! :O I want to go on a road trip sooooooooooooooo bad.

It got me wondering exactly how it would feel to put a VR6 into a mk2, and how it would match up. Maybe one day. I know that's kind of what I wanted since I rode in Jake's red GTI back in the day. (sad story :(.... )

I would like to have the compairison side by side, I think that would be a blast!!

thats a hell of a steal! good job!

I paid $12k for mine a year ago but it came with $6k in new turbo parts that had yet to be installed and some brand new $2k rims & wheels.. he was going to turbo it but had financial issues before he had all the pieces to complete and had to dump it quickly.. he was asking like $16k but it had been on market for a few weeks with little interest so when I showed up with $12k in cash and he couldent refuse... Later that week I watched two GTI's the same year/model/miles as mine sell on ebay for $13k+ bone stock

If ya want more power start looking at a Kinetic kit.. these 12v motors are great to turbo.. I'll be posting a new dyno in a few weeks, should be about 450ft lbs of tq on stock internals and still my daily driver...

Financial says I cant do that as of yet. And as that car sits in comparison to my dad's old nissan maxima, the GTI has more power than I am even used to. Mainly because its a MUCH lighter car. The max had a V6 engine in it and that's the fastest I have ever had. Im used to 4-cylinder bangers, and 16v's.

I had no interest in beefing up this car more, but as I am beginning to like it more, I may have to take a look into the possibilities.

You definately got yours for a steal as well. Im jealous. But I didn't really have the option to be spending more than I did on it. I definately feel I got lucky.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself when I looked at the pics. Its not a real VW its hot! They had rolexes, guccis, red plastic buddah's, and dirty little chinese kids without shoes, for sale as well.
