so i'm crazy lazy lately.
« on: May 09, 2007, 04:21:34 PM »

there was a time when i spend a whole weekend hand sanding and buffing something to a polished perfection but those days are gone.  for now.

i need some bike cranks polished up.  they'd be super easy to do i'm sure, i just don't feel like doing it.  any places that you can send metal parts to and they send them back all profesionally spit shined up?

eh this ain't LA i'm not looking to send off my high dollar cranksets with a group a messicans.  i just wanna send them out to some random place and get the usual week turnaround, open up a brown box and see this glorious turnaround.  i mean really i'll probably end up just having to do it on my own, they're allready completely smooth, would prolly take a half day to look awesome but, even my weekend free time is taken up with side jobs.  it's just more cost effective, and more fun to have somebody else do it.  pretty sure i remember a place a few years back that would take anything and charge by the size of it, and it was damn affordable too.  read about it on vortex, just can't find it anymore.

I was thinking bring a messican to your house....Give them a lawnchair, rags, and Mothers in the backyard/driveway.

Jess's dad polished an upper 16v manifold for me like 8 years ago, came out all mirror shiney and nice. Good turn around, fair price. He said he'd never do another after that...

well shit i think i can handle that.  they're real easy.  and it has crannys, but i don't want those polished as i'm gonna paint the recesses.  i know dci in general is a bit of a crap shoot when it comes to expedient deliverys (myself included).  i really do need as quick of a turn around as possible, no more then a couple weeks as they're for a bike i'm building for the seattle to portland race coming up in july.  and i still need to do some form of pseudo-training beforehand so, yeah.  well maybe 3 weeks i can push it off for.

but yeah otherwise shit i'm all for it  :joel:
