okay. and one last question. do i get a gear for each side. or just for one? is there a difference between freewheel and fixed gear wise?

well yeah, on one side of the wheel you will thread on a fixed gear cog followed by a lock ring. On the other side of the wheel/hub you will thread on the bmx style freewheel cog.
