First passes in the new bucket
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:19:55 AM »

Billy/Jordan/Chris' old 95 GTI..

Currently the car has a 134k bottom end, 133k OBD2 head, GIAC chip, Turn2 intake, 42Draft test pipe and TT 2.5" w/ Borla cat back (still has the stock behind cat neck/coupler). The car does have 262 cams but they'll be out soon back to stock.

Clutch is stock and from my old Mk2, trans is a bone stock CCM trans with a B&M shifter. 205/50/15 Kumho all seasons. Not sure of weight but the car is missing the rear and pass seats and obviously spare tire and jack. All passes were at about 1/8th tank.

That all being said, here is the run down from last night @ Cecil County Dragway.

First night ET's were about what I expected not having driven the car (or any car!!) in a little while. Best pass was a 14.048@99.98mph with a kind of crappy 2.16 60'. I had a nice pass of 14.14ish@100.4 with what was recorded as a 2.4x 60' but I had staged with the intake filter instead of the tire so I was back about 12' from where I should have been. If you do the math that's an easy high 13sec pass from a pretty lightly modded car.

Pic of the action..

For my next trick I'm going to take the AC out, put the interior back in, and still crack a 13.
