« on: February 12, 2007, 09:46:21 AM »

didnt someone around here (coldhands?) have knolage on hydrolic systems? i am hooking up my lift in my shop and the pump has 2 fittings on it and tehre are 2 hoses to hook to it..... folow/.. my problem is this! both hoses are the same color size fitting...... and so are the  2 on the pump.this makes it possible to hook up the hoses backwards. if i hook this up backwards will it break any thing? the ram is a dual directonal ram also, could it be damaged if i hook up the pump backwards? this is my last step to geting thie bad boy runing......... i realy need this figured out today so i can finish up the lift and get it working tonight.

thanks!.... fi anyknow has a # to who i should talk to id be stoked

Pump backward won't make any pressure. Take a pic of the pump it's pretty obvious what's the inlet/outlet.

i thnbk i figured out the out let and inlet on the pump, now i need to figure out which of the hose's on the ram goes wich way, i assume the ram realy only build pressure 1 directon, and retruns under gravity laod as the lift comes down........ im afriad to blow out a seal ifi hook the ram up backwards.
