Yeah the top picture must have been done in Cambodia.  Its kind of shady.  He flipped it to get the right angle to match up w/ the a-arm.  I'll be doing this, only the right way and only if its needed.  I will refrain from using a nut as a spacer.  I'll also safety wire the nut if it ends up on top.
