What's going on with me..

4 lug is on the back, almost on the front, waiting for some tie rod parts to come in. Got a set of 13's that'll clear the 10.1s with only a 10mm spacer in the front. Once my spare wheels are all sold I'm getting the 205/60/13 M&H DOT slicks for the front and some Chineese 155/80/13s for the rear. Yes I'm driving it to the track like that.

Power wise it'll be where it's at for now. Taking out the AC and putting in a tiny ass DelSol radiator and single speed elec fan. ABS is going bye bye but not sure when I'll have time to get to finding the parts for that.

Got a new motor to build up for it but that'll probably be next winter's project.

Goal: 12.99 or lower on DOT tires in a car I can drive to and from the track reliably.

My Mk2 was fine until I broke that cam. I have plenty spare cams and heads now.

i going to come get that block very soon paul. i should be picking up a shell this weekend. i'm going to give it the ol' "when in doubt, cut it out" treatment. then throwing together a budget set up to see how much we can get out of it.
other than that, my bug motor should be together by the end of this month or by next month.

Good shit Charles. Find me 24v stuff so I can start building this motor up for next season. Gotta start early.

I'm also going to get a pair of drag radials so I can get owned by 11sec Hondas in NHRA Street Stock. Hopfefully I get owned enough to get a weight break.

so paul, i went to the track friday night. didnt run my car but was put behind the wheel of 2 cars.
1st run: stage 2 eip r32.
i would like to point out that apparently 509hp and a stock clutch dont mix very well if you are trying to launch a car like it should be launched. haha. owner of the car said he's just going to get a new clutch and then put me behind the wheel again.
2nd run: stock 1.8t gli
car had some beat tires and the track start getting slick cause the temps dropped. 15.4 with a .038rt. <---i think i was sleeping at the line. haha.
i might be taking some passes in a mk2 vr on tuesday night.

509hp huh, I think that makes you a full pro. Stock clutches are a joke on stock VR6s.

well they dont work with stage 2 eip set ups either. haha. i dont think that it takes me to full pro yet....i got to get it down the track clean first. they think the car should be deep into the 12's if not high 11's. the owner got it to go 13.0's and that was driving it like leaving from a traffic light. but its a showcar and the guy just wants to see what it can do.
