FYI for QSW owners: Brake MC
« on: November 30, 2006, 05:40:12 PM »

Since VW and parts suppliers officially stopped making the model-specific brake master cylinder for the syncro wagons (yes, it is listed under ETKA as a model-specific MC), and it used to cost $500 anyway....

never fear, non syncro parts are near.

the only difference was that the Syncro model uses 3 ports (rear brake lines run into the cylinder as 1), and the non-syncro has 4 ports. An M10x1 threaded plug from your local bolt supply threaded into the excess port will make ze problem no longa ze problem.

and the non syncro costs like $50.

Thats all, somehow I thought about that while driving home.

Wow, $500?

I don't recall the brake MC giving me a hayjay every time I stopped hard.

(Get it? Hard? Eh, this is wasted in this forum.)
