Suzuki DR350, its been about 8 years since I have ridden.. and I got my first Suzuki Endruo when I was like 10, this will be my 4th

I needed another vehicle so I was not stranded when the GolfKart was being worked on, this wont cost me anything to park in LoDo or insure, or fill with gasoline and I can take it out to Rampheart Range on the weekends and tear up like 80 miles of trails..

For $850 I think I got a pretty good deal, bike is in great condition.. Will proably powder coat the frame and paint everything black this winter

What color smoke? Sounds like a leaky headgasket to me... your gona have to pull your head regardless so yank it off and find out the issue..
8  Car & Tech Talk / Carbs, standalone and other N/A goodies / Re: obd-2 simulator? on: May 14, 2008, 08:32:32 AM
depends on if these things also simulate the readyness status, because I believe thats all they check..

would be pretty easy to detect you had it wired in there, because speed, rpm, time since start, etc will all be obviously wrong if they decide to look at any of those values..  but then again you could get some kinda electronic potomoter and do some nifty electrical engineering hacking the hell out of it to hook outputs from your standalone into the simulator, and out the OBDII protocoll.. hrmmmm

Mocal makes nice thermostatic plates for VR, I am sure I saw an option for 1.8's... I got a used volvo oil cooler core that jesse is going to weld -AN fittings on, then I am having the shop down the road make some nice SS braided lines.  Ive been told you can get NPT fittings on just once over the brittish standard on the volvo core, If you dont care about disconnecting the lines from the cooler I'd use JBWeld and regular NPT fittings and be cheap and dirty..

I think I remember reading that you can use the oil cooler plate off a volvo on a 1.8 with no problems, do some research and head to a junk yard.. might get lucky and find everything you need for next to nothing.
