I've been thinking about headin' down, if I finish the VR swap by then. The 16V is out, just need to bolt in the VR, complete the wiring and swap the pedal clusters... oh, and stop spending all my free time drinking and/or riding.

There are quite a few meets up here that we just don't go to, partially due to the dousche factor. TST has a meet at their shop on the first Friday of every month, which is SF DCI loved and approved. We used to have garage meets every Thurs night, which we should start back up - I suppose. There is also a Corrado specific meet in these parts. I hate to admit it but, if you really want to know what is going on in Bay Area VW crowd - your best bet is viewing the NorCal forum on the 'tex.

I hounded the previous owner for about a year and finally got him to sell it to me for $800. I'm pretty happy with the deal, considering that  the only thing missing is two side strips and everything works.

I'm waiting on a gasket kit to arrive for the bike. After we popped off the alternator cover and destroyed what was left of the gasket - it leaks like a bitch now.

Picked up a MK1 Coupe this past weekend.



Plans are to make this my daily driver, while my MK2 swap starts(finally). I'm currently in the process of cleaning it up and freshening up all the mechanicals. At some point, it will likely get a substantial drop on some OEM-type rolling stock.

Thanks for developing an opinion based on a non-op and non-priority bike project that was being stored. That and, a part that blew 2-3 days before you all arrived. At least I made an effort to shuttle you ungreatful fuckers to/from the airport in that shit. Just sayin'
