It truely is sad to see a car club that I knew in the PNW back in '98 /'99 go to shit with people like you and all your east coast cloanies. Now i see why some of the "original" crew have left the scene. Looks like a bunch of DEMONIC WHOREDs who run nothing but there fucking mouth in the DCI now........... - Euro2.0

1  Random Bullshittery / Outside Kid Discussion / Re: does this go here? ...who's getting new gear for this year on the mts? on: December 31, 2008, 11:02:48 AM
The Ride SPIs I picked up towards the end of last season are tons better than the Cartels I was riding for 2 seasons prior. Until Burton makes an affordable binding with adjustable heel cups, I'll be buying something else.

And the equipment malfunction on the Unions was mostly operator error. I didn't tighten that screw enough apparently.

If I can find one cheap enough, I'm going to get a banana board. I'd prefer to be able to buy one without MTX but Mervin doesn't make a BTX board without it. I found a Lib TRS 162 with BTX on Craig's List last night for $225 (and some Burton customs.) If I can get that, I'll give it a try. I'm sure I can flip it on Ebay for $300ish at least if I don't like it.

First day up with the Gnu Billy Goat and the Union Data bindings left me not 100% impressed. Went to strap in at the top of the mountain on the first run and the instep ratchet on my rear foot came off in my hand. Since they've got a form of cap straps I cranked it down as tight as I could and limped down to the lodge. Surprisingly I was able to make some decent turns that way still.

When we got back up into some deep new stuff, I was really wishing I'd packed my Atomic. I think I'll probably be selling the Gnu though. I only purchased it because it was $100, and I really wanted something closer to 160 than 170 since the Atomic fills that role with aplomb.

4  Marketplace / Wanted / Re: anyone have a usb or pcmcia wifi G adapter they don't need? on: December 30, 2008, 09:06:03 PM
The Goodwill out by the kids' school had some D-Link wireless N adapters a couple of weeks ago for $20. I'm going to be out that way tomorrow, so I can stop in and see if there are any left.

We're sitting at my house not doing much right now. Call or text Mo or I if you want to figure out something to do.

The guy that told me about this sight said it was the watercooled version of the samba.  It is clearly not!

Yeah, I wouldn't believe a word that person says. Though the comparison is downright humorous.

You ain't got to leave, and honestly you've held up better than most.

This ain't craig's list, advertising isn't free. Here are the rates for these forums.

$200 and you can have a stickied thread at the top of the Pacific Northwest forum for a year. You're more than welcome to participate in the discussion. Or you can take your chances on us having an off night and open a tab for us to drink off of at a dive bar at our choosing.

Your "cheaper than DIP" prices probably don't account for the fact that there are DCI members behind the counter of both locations. Even if you could get stuff cheaper for us, we're not inclined to take our business elsewhere. DIP has been more than generous to us for the past 10 years, and we're nothing if not loyal.

I didn't see if it was mentioned or not, but you have to have XBL Gold for it to work.

I'm going to try and use an account that Jeremy & 3 or 4 other people are using to stream movies on their PCs.

We're flying out of here tomorrow at the ass crack of dawn. We will be in Denver until 12/25 and I sure would love some quality time with the sexy likes of you folks. I'll have to check the schedule but I'm hoping to have Heidi do some touch up work on my leg on Saturday. Maybe after that we grab a beer or two and make magical things happen.

I must admit I don't really read much past the first 3 letters of a user name.

While I did drive over there in a borrowed yuppie mobile (volvo XC90) I did pay cash each time.

Sorry, I lose.....

Unless you took a cash advance from your credit card that starts acruing higher interest right away.

Just dig the specs up from Burton. I'd guess it's 24.5mm waist or so.

Saw that on NBC in HD earlier today. That event alone might make the last 8 years tolerable (it doesn't.)
