i ride this bike the most, live in a pretty flat area of town and use this for majority of my food and beverage runs. One of the first bikes I've built in a long while that I'm actually content with and no longer feel the need to upgrade or mod, she's perfect at the moment. As soon as we moved here my girlfriends rather nice kona mtb with slicks got stolen, so while she was out of town for a couple of days i decided to surprise her and pooled together some of my unemployment and bought an early 70s raleigh mixte for her to scoot around town in. Im not a big fan of gears, she is so i compromised and turned it into a 1x5. works great. wish i had more money because, there's alot i want to do to it right now. I have a lugged chrome fork coming that will also alleviate part of raleighs fucked thread choices of this generation. After that i'll throw a wheelset on it that it probably wont deserve, and put a much nicer derailleur on it too. And a seatpost, a B18 ladies, probably some cranks, you now how that shit goes. Mainly I wanted to get her back on a bike as soon as i could and it functions well at the moment. The kona. Admittedly this bike is a bit of a piece, but not terrible. Picked it up off of craigslist somewhat recently for a hundy with the intent of turning it eventually, into my daily commuter bike to whatever local job i find that will allow me to do so. Not a huge fan of road bikes as I can't get the bmx out of my system and consequently like to jump and break shit. I've been riding some dirt around here lately untill that point and have been finding the lower level componentry to be, shitty! I bent the back wheel beyond repair, sheared off a chainring, and the fork is stupid, but whatever. I'll keep riding it and when i turn it in to the daily commuter i'll put slicks and fenders on it and be cool with destroying it. Think guilt free minimum investments on this one. and thats it for now. Got a few frames kicking around I'd like to build up but moneys not really permitting at the moment. Allways something being built though, it keeps me sane.

so i've been looking, and I see westport which looks somewhat legit. It's a couple hours away, which i guess i should be fairly content with, but i'm not finding any other spots, at all. I know this state isn't known for waves, but is this the only decent location? I was hoping to find something around the sound but i guess thats not gonna happen. Two hours away my best case scenario?
