Title: Housing in PDX? Post by: motohead on June 04, 2008, 06:17:16 AM Hello all,
I'm finally getting out of this college thing and have a job lined up at a place close to the airport. I'm not really familiar with the housing situation in the area, anyone have any suggestions? Looking to rent for the first year probably. Thanks, Drew Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: snipun on June 04, 2008, 06:20:58 AM Granted you said you're looking to rent for the first year, but there's a cheap condo (read also: apartment) for sale next door to me if you're interested.
What's your price range? Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: motohead on June 04, 2008, 08:58:13 AM It kind of depends on if I get a roommate or not. I'm kind of spoiled down here with $325 rent and one roommate. What does the place next to you run?
Edit: where is it? Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: snipun on June 04, 2008, 11:25:04 AM Asking price 150, you could probably snag for 125.
SW Portland Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: motohead on June 04, 2008, 02:16:39 PM How big? I'm not sure if I want to jump into buying something quite yet though... I kinda want to look around first for a bit.

Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: egecko on June 30, 2008, 12:18:08 AM have you found anything? Where will you be working....... baggage handler @ PDX? :number1: are you wanting to stay in OR or move to WA?
Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: motohead on July 02, 2008, 09:31:45 PM I haven't found anything for sure yet, but I would like to soon. I'm going to be working at Silver Eagle Manufacturing near the airport. Oregon or Washington, I'm just trying to keep the drive short.
Title: Re: Housing in PDX? Post by: motohead on July 06, 2008, 02:16:40 PM God, looking for houses sucks. I've been driving all over NE Portland for the last two days and keep finding shit. Anyone interested in moving into a house? If I could get a good roommate, I'd love to look for a 2 or 3 bedroom house with a garage. These tiny row apartments for 700-800 a month suck.
P.S I mean rent. I don't think I'm going to purchase for a little bit. I need to get settled in a work first. Title: Re: Housing in PDX? HA and for a second there is sounded like you 'found' yourself in Corvallis and wanted a man-mate giving out a tiny row 700-800x a mouth suck. The 'garage', I don't even want to know about. Post by: motohead on July 09, 2008, 06:35:35 PM Wow, roller coaster of a day I've had.
I found a great house in vancouver (3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, big attached garage, $900) only 15 mins from work. So I'm down here packing up all of my stuff getting ready to move in on Friday when I get a call from the HR lady at my new job. She informs me that they are delaying my start date for at least 30 days (possibly indefinitely, but they don't know yet) and I'm supposed to hang tight and wait for news. Great. Four days before I'm supposed to start working. Anyone want to move into a great place close to 205? I may need the help with rent. Title: Re: Housing in PDX?
