Title: Cabby dash swap into 78 Rabbit (wiring pin question) Post by: attackrabbit on May 27, 2008, 08:13:26 AM Hey all, did the swap yesterday. Turned out great! Got most everything working.
The only things that aren't working right now is my water temp and my dash lights. Any idea what the pin/wire setup is for these? With enough trial and error I'll figure it out eventually - just looking for help to speed the processes :). So to be clear, I'm asking which wires are the water temp sending unit and dash lights and which pins they should be assigned to in the wide console connector. Thanks in advance! One of the big reasons I never wanted to update my dash is beacuse the rats nest of wires behind it gave me a chill. Oh well! I am happy I rewired as much as I have, I now have windshield wipers, ignition and blower motor - all working. It's insane!!! I guess when the battery goes low, it goes into "drive only mode" and bascially turns off all the other functions. Sometimes, I think my car is too smart for its own good. Or for my good.
