Title: finly rady to squirt in my rabbit
Post by: carsluTT on December 23, 2007, 03:18:22 PM
ok, im plaing on starting off with a aba on gsxr itb's and mega squirt running the injecton and igniton. i do plan that once the car is dialed in to boost it.

what mega squirt set up will let me go form allmotor to boost w/ out a bunch of pain in the ass?

this is going into a 1980 rabbit so i don thave to do shit but a tial pipe test when the time come's.

i have nothing for injecotn at this time.

so i need to know what i should do. build a harnes from scratch? use a exisint gone and mod it to work? what? i have  a full spare 1.8t injecton sitting on my bench i could choop up or sell ...........

basicly i have a car w/ no electrical system at all at this time and i plan to build it all over agian from scratch. from teh head lights to the whipers. so mega squirt seems the best bet.

i spoke to scott and he sugested i man up and build my own board to A save mone and B get to know my shit. he is a smart fish ill take his word for it.

If you're using an ABA you have two options:

V2.2 if you want to mod a distro with an early 4 window hall sensor
V3.0 if you want to use the ABA crank sensor

The V3's are better but there's a lot more on the board  but a nice proto area on it for mods.

I generally use ABA harnesses and cut off the factory plug and remove all the shit I don't want. Then I solder that to the DB37 connector end and it works out pretty nice.
