converting my 5spd road bike to single speed and my current wheels are KO'd.... been checking craigslist around here but theres really not much for what i want to spend. I'm just looking a shit thats straight and true. currently it has old school 27" wheel set with cassette gearing and from reading i can update it to 700c wheel sets and freewheel aswell...... just looking for something semi cheap as this is just going to be a grocer getter quick trip bike

i got a rear wheel you can HAVE, nothing wrong with it and in brand new shape i'm just moving in a couple weeks and the new place has ZERO storage. its an eyeletted mavic cxp22 rim with black spokes to a straight pull specialized hub, sealed bearings, its cassetted but has a single speed kit on it. I would probably keep the single speed kit, came with spacers, i think 5 different gears to choose from, lockring, or just throw me 20 bucks which is right around what i payed for the kit and you can have that too.
felt nice and took a quick pic. like i said if you dont want the kit on it, free. It's a decent wheel.

heres my running list of needs as of yet (most of which i can buy cheap or rob off some other bikes)
-seat
-tires/tubes
-bars/grips
-need new brake levers for bars
-seat
-pedals
-chain and tensioner
location wise, im up in puyallup/tacoma so not too far off from you guys...

I will look around tomorrow for what I have. If you wanna spend some cash I have frog lights and an uber nice strobe rear too. Otherwise... I know for a fact I have a CRAZY drop stem and maybe some other shit that falls under the free tangent. You gonna be at DUBBQ? Don't really wanna ship anything.

yeah i was supposed to go to that but an impromptu san diego trip arose the same weekend. I'm meeting up with raquel in tacoma on thursday (shes taking me to the airport) and will give the wheel/single speed shit to her (she's going with you guys to leavenworth) so that'll work. And you'll just owe me one
