I have a CRKT M21 at home.  Very similar to the M16, but a different blade profile.  Excellent knife for the money.

I had a really sweet little Smith and Wesson Police issue switchblade that I lost.  I miss that thing.
It looked just like this, but with a wood handle instead of antler:

Actually it looked just like this one, but with the same blade markings as the first one.

CKRT has a lifetime warranty too, that includes sending you (at no charge) replacement screws should one come out of the knife at some point, no questions asked.

these are their "rescue/emt" knives, the good news is, they're all cheap and well built:

http://www.knivestown.com/crkt_knives/crkt_rescue-tools.asp

if you're looking for a fixed blade, the blunt tipped A.B.C. one is awesome- I actually have the two previous knives from the series that one is based on, and love them- the blunt tipped one could literally be dropped on a flotation bag without fear of puncture:

Nice.  I never knew CRKT had the lifetime warranty.  I like there stuff WAAAAYY better than Spyderco's  For some reason the Spyderco's just feel lifeless to me.  The CRKT's on the other hand have life and style to them.

Thanks for the info.

but my absolute favorite knife i have had for quite some time now.. 5+ years i think.. even sent it back to the factory where the fixed the hinge, and sharpened it back to ridiculous.

SOG Pentagon Elite

picture looks small but the bastard is pretty good size...

i used to have a real problem buying all kinds of knives.... but that sog is the only one i brought with me to hawaii.
