yeah, I figured that part. I had just got home from work and I was tired....
Anyways, first it was a quick class about corneridng properly turn in, apex, track out, exit speed, brake points, lead/follow. Proper heel to toe and about the engine and drivertrain. Then handling such as understeer, oversteer and how to recover. After that, we were divided into three groups based on a quick intro during the class which were fast, medium and slower. We were in the open-wheel cars and did 3- 20min lap sessions which consisted of following a pace car and depending on our feedback and track handling abilities, were permitted to go faster. During the 5-10min pitstops, we remained in the cars to allow maximum track time and plus it's a pain in the ass getting in and out multiple times. One guy in the fast group with me kept spinning out and was put into the medium group, but then came back for the last lap session.

During the runs, there was A crazy squirrel that kept running in front of me between turns 9/10 that it reminded me of the exploding rabbit getting hit while running across the track. I did very well keeping up with the team until I lost control in turn 11 and did a 180 and the car stalled. I quickly recovered and hauled ass down the straights and caught up. We were passing the slower groups and got the most runs in each session. Then broke for lunch. The open wheel was a 1200lbs 2L 16v 150hp dodge engine, soon to be replaced with mazda's.

After that we broke into 2 groups of 5 and did braking exercises in a mazda3 with no abs and tried to get it to stop before the cones ranout without locking up the brakes. Did that for a while before a turn was added into the mix. After this was completed, we did autocross in mx5 with two different instructors as passengers while another person did the same thing. After all of that we hit the skidpad in an rx6 with the other two instuctors as passangers. Basically, working your way out of an oversteer while making a turns around cones while another person is doing the same thing.

The two groups were put in an autocross challange where we had to perform 3 laps, tag the next guy, get buckled in and go and stop between four cones all without hitting a cone, small were 1sec and large were 2secs added, or getting off the track which added 7secs due to each wheel on the cars (4 wheels, spare, steering wheel and flywheel). At the end, my group was the fastest between the two.

Went into gift shop and then drove approx 80 miles from Laguna Seca to San Jose aiport in my rented toyota prius so I could get back to PDX and I as beat.

I typed this all out on my iPhone while sitting on the shitter and enjoying an iced chai tea latte from starbucks. Fuck! Now my legs are asleep and I need to get ready for work. I'll post pics when I can and when I get the others in.

that's ok. I didn't want to get a ticket from chp after the event, plus it cost $10 in fuel to and from Laguna Seca.

I'm reading this thread on my iPhone while sitting on the shitter.

Sounds like a great course!  You should be able to put it into practice on the road for safer fast-road driving.
