Tibber and Esher should consider taking the train to Nevada Smiths....

Top club matches...

Oct 26th Sun Arsenal (home)
Dec 6th Sat Tottenham (away)
Dec 13th Sat Chelsea (away)
Jan 31st Sat Arsenal (away)
Feb 7th Sat Man Utd (home)

Take your pick, take the train & come to NS  I'll be there just about every match so if you want to come up to see Hull..i'll be there.

It's a done deal for quite a few of the "top club" matches. We were shit housed.

One day my Ma's relations came round to visit me.
Just as my father's kinfolk were all sitting down to tea.
We tried to smooth things over, but they all began to fight.
And me, being strictly neutral, I bashed everyone in sight.

You mean that bullshit sport that is ONLY popular in the states. It should actually be called "throwball" or "catchball" or "game takes 3 hours but ball is in play for 35minuts"

yeah see but it's not, it's called football.  and your sport is only popular overseas.  one could even make the argument that football is just as popular overseas as soccer is over here.  and frankly, over here is all that matters to me.

i would like to attend a game though with you guys, maybe understand it a lil better.

"Soccer" is nothing more than a shortened Association Football, which was in the US loooonnnnngggg before the NFL or AFL ever started up. Association became "soccer" for slang back in the early 1900's.

That argument doesn't hold any weight as they absolute despise the NFL overseas, much like Americans don't care for/don't understand soccer over here.

You probably would like football lot more than you think. Problem is over here in the way they present it to Americans. The MLS is flat out dull, European games and the atmosphere in them rivals even the biggest NFL/college stadiums.

so how does it not hold any weight again?  same thing.

let me know what game you're attending.  and thanks for calling me back, left you a message awhile back.

I don't really follow much sport, but I went to see Sheffield United vs QPR yesterday and had a fucking amazing time!

You should go to a game and check it out...  Make sure you point at an oposition player and shout BASTARD! repeatedly at least once during the game... It's liberating!

By the way, we won 3-0!
