HP LAPTOP?

so, my dad has a hp laptop and it magicly decided it no longer has a wireless card inside of it. iv done the lill bit i know and i cant seem to get the damn thing to reconize hardwear that its got but isnt registering. what do u guys sugest i do besides use it for target practice?

go to the up website and download the latest drivers for the wifi and then go from there. If you can't find the driver, post model number, model name, os and other helpful info.

sounds stupid, but some laptops have a button on the outside to turn the card on/off to save power
look for it..

yeah, the button was my 2nd thaught of what may be worng, made no diffrence jacking with it.

ill get the modle info and post it up. thanks for the help guys, my dad spent 2hrs on the phone w/ tech help at hp and promptly called me all bent that they were tryign to get him to do shit that didnt have anythig to do w/ his problem. so now i get the joy of fixing it for him

yea man i did this once too... my hp laptop has an internet button up above the keyboard.

SEESMS TO BE BETTER.

I ALSO discoverd my dad is still runing XP, should i have him do the free upgrade to vista? would that help at all w/ this issue?
