Murder in Chicago
« on: August 01, 2008, 03:18:22 PM »

http://forum.concours.org/index.php?topic=46032.0

Guy without a license or insurance deliberately runs over and kills motorcyclist in order to keep from reporting an earlier accident.

Faces a MAXIMUM of 14 years.

I would pay for view to see the survivors run over the perp with a D9 catepillar. What a total piece of shit.

i really don't understand how killing someone intentionally with a car is any different than doing so with a gun. that guy should never see sunlight again. what a system.

on a side note, my boss told me today one of his friends in japan got a DUI- ten thousand dollar fine and ten years suspended license. i think it's fucking awesome, but i'm biased.

Usually in my experience a car gets treated as a deadly weapon just like a gun.  This instance is a terrible oversight and in my opinion, not justice.

I'd be down for some Germany type road rules.

D9? I hit em with a D5 so it doesn't kill him instantly, a bit more suffering. What a douche and terribly skewed justice system we have.

One day my Ma's relations came round to visit me.
Just as my father's kinfolk were all sitting down to tea.
We tried to smooth things over, but they all began to fight.
And me, being strictly neutral, I bashed everyone in sight.

not when it comes to driver at fault bicycle fatalities, even some malicious and strikingly negligent ones are clearly under prosecuted.
