Going tomorrow to pick up a 1984 4000 quattro :)
Don't fret none, keeping the rabbit, just getting this for a daily (I'm stoked I now have something to take to the mountain!)
Going to store the rabbit for the winter and hopefully start dumping more money into it next summer...
Found it on craigslist today, but turns out the seller is a rally driver Travis happens to know!
$950, good car and I get spare parts! Including a spare motor if I want it...
Will post pics tomorrow after I pick it up

4000 parts are relatively cheap and easy to locate. Plus the 10v motor is damn near indestructible.

All it needs right now is a driver side rear door handle and tail light bulb trays - the current bulb trays are pretty corroded...
