Don't even know what this is called
« on: June 16, 2008, 08:58:15 PM »

I played "tag along" this past weekend for this driving event at California speedway... it was a road course i guess or a circuit... like i said i don't even know what it's called, but holy shit was it fun... and i didn't even drive!  I rode passenger in a Gallardo Spyder, an M5, and a GT3... i took 3 minutes of crappy video when i was in the M5 before we got black flagged... didn't know the rule about the hand held camera (should have known).  We had a nice spinout in the GT3- at least 3 or 4 full rotations- followed by a "WE SURVIVED high 5"... the flaggers now hate us and we had to try and pick the grass out from between the rim and tire... there was dirt everywhere in the car (convertible top down).  My whole right side is sore from holding on.  I had the opportunity to drive all 3 cars, but felt to exhausted by the 4th run to take them up on it.  wish i would've done it, but i guess they all go pretty often and i'll get a chance another day.

here's a link to the course:

does anyone else do this kind of stuff?

How did you get linked up to this?  Act cute and hit on the rich guys?  At least that's what a friend of mine did in AZ.

My boss owns the Gallardo Spyder, he knows I like car stuff and invited me to come along.  The other 2 cars were his friends.  There were 3 passengers, so we switched around between cars.  There were 2 VWs there, but they didn't count- 1 conv new beetle and a MKV rabbit.  I'll find some pics of the spyder and the GT40s and post them.
