So I bought my golf in February...Lil did I know that it was going to be such a big project....Just figured new suspension (whoever did it did it ghetto style),new wheels (at some point), brakes,interior stuff....Nothing too drastic....I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER....So now here it is May and my car is still not right...After a rebuilt engine gets put in I found out that I need a new clutch,need a new brake booster,new brake cylinder,new windshield (the crack in the old one has gotten really big)....My tail lights still aren't working right...It's still blowing holes in relays....I am so fucking frustrated right now.....Not because my car has these issues but because it's all the ways down in Vancouver and I don't have the money to fix them...This is why I need a new job...Well I know where my tax rebate check is going......

Im assuming that you have a MK3 or older VW.  Most of us have figured out by now that when you buy a used car, let alone a significantly older model VW, that you should expect a list of repairs.  Old cars come with a price, just like new ones do.

I sadly was about 1200 miles away from my last one, and unable to do anything to it ever, let alone never drove it, not even once.  In addition I have primarily lived in apartments where I couldn't work on the ones I did drive.  This is why I decided to buy a newer vehicle until I had my own home, and shop to work on my attempted project cars.
