took the 67 to the track for the first time today. so here's the run down.....
first pass........ i took it easy and everything ran fine.
second pass...launch the car too hard, popped it out of gear, car got hot and thought i broke the trans. luckly i didnt break the trans or anything.
third pass.......short shifted to 3rd gear too soon and the carb didnt like that.
fourth pass/first round.....slept on the tree, fucked a shift up, laughed about it.

all in all i think i had a good day. the car didnt blow up and i know the motor has some more in it. re-jetting my carbs and going to take it out again. got to lighten it up alittle also(bumpers off...thats damn near 60lbs right there). trans is going to get a freshen up(gears, diff) also. drop spindles are going on soon along with a beam also. still going to try to keep it as stock as possible(hence why my tach is hidden...haha). going to try to get some pictures up from the day soon. 

nothing balzing....85ish. still got to get the car/carbs dialed in. do some suspension work.

stock shifter=sloppy shifts.

actually, i have one...didnt swap it out before sunday.

might have to have this moved to the drag racing forum since paul showed up. 
paul best of the day was 16.2 with me messing up my shifts. i know the motor has some more in it, i'm just still learning how to drive it down the track. i only have 4 passes in it so far. i did 2.1 60' on the street tires which wasnt too bad.

what... no wheelies?

update. bought myself a adjustable beam(drum to drum) today for the beater. drop spindles will be going on it also.

they'll be fine. haha.
