ID an ABA?
« on: March 09, 2008, 01:49:45 AM »

How can I tell whether I have an OBD1 or OBD2 ABA motor?
No, I don't remember what it came out of. I have the motor and fuel rail, but none of the associated electronics.

flip it over and take off the oil pan. If it's a forged crank, it's an early motor if it's cast, it's  a later one..........

Fixed. I was hoping there was a way to tell without flipping it over, whether I lick it or not.
