i didnt do it to my header and wished that i had. i was in too much of a rush. mostly it keeps the header from corroding and it supposed to cool it down faster or something. if it is a new header and you have time id say do it. you wont regret it.

At first I was considering this vs. wrapping but wrapping is just to destructive as far as holding onto moisture etc.  Thanks for the input guys, it's brand new, just arrived yesterday.  I pulled it out of the box, rubbed myself on it then put it back.

julian also has a jet hotted header but im not sure you will be able to get feedback easily.

I black ceramic coated mine my self, just need to get them blasted somewhere and then apply a very thin coat with an airbrush.. it'll harden enough to install and full cure once you fire it up.

used black turbox from here: http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/techline/agl.html

Havent had the chance to drive w/it installed yet but Ive heard it works wonders..

Jet Hot is an excellent product-- I had the 16V manifold I'm currently running on my truck Jet Hot Sterling coated about 8 years ago and it still looks great.

But it is by no means the only game in town when it comes down to Thermal Ceramic Coatings.

I've had several intakes and headers coated by Finishline Coatings http://www.finishlinecoatings.com/ with good results.

They are local (just down McLaughlin from Discount Import)-- saving you the cost of shipping as well as being substantially less expensive than Jet-Hot.

Another ceramic coating option (highly recommended) is Swaintech.

HA!  The coating on the tri-y still looks the same when I bought it several years ago from Danny. Well, maybe because it's still sitting in the same bag several years later!  monk

I got JetHot2000 on my old Genie header and I wouldn't do it again. Didn't keep it cool AT ALL and it was a very thin stainless header already. I might try Swaintech the next time around AND wrap the shit out of it.
