dont all vrs just burn oil...

duff dont feel bad. i have a 98 vr. K&N cone filter on the maf, magnaflow exhaust, 42 test pipe, giac chip, tt 268s... you know the basic shit.  my old boss borrowed my car and fell in love with it, beat a supercharged vr in it as well. so he buys a 97 vr and for some reason that fucking car is fast.  he put a magnaflow and test pipe on it so it would sound like mine, then did the K&N on the maf waiting for 42 to make our intake (similar to the turn 2) he dynoed his car.

177whp and 174 lbs of torque.

when i dynoed mine....

168 whp 165 torque.... WTF.  that car walks me, and he's running stock cams still.  its bullshit.

god damned wednesday motors i say....i think his motor and Lil chris' motor were built on the same day....

i've got a 2.9 clone w/ a few extras done to it to (hopefully) improve the airflow even more...gonna throw it on tonight and see what she does.

i've set my cams to the proper timing and the car is definatley making more power now...i just wish i could get to a track right now...oh well.

Honestly cars with more carbon make more power. It's true. 10whp though, different dynos? Different days? Different correction settings? I can make my old dyno read 208whp instead of 189 playing with the correction, some dyno's read 'better.'

Don't be suprised if the 2.9 clone doesn't make power, we never could prove it did a thing at all. The big restriction there is the neck after the TB and there's no good way to open it up. The gutted Schrick made power but that's another story altogether.

Oh and I broke my trans. Yay.
