Although reports are intermittent, and written in the prose of a poorly educated 6th grader, it seems that the Southeast is still Shambles Central.

Kraftswerks European o2m ("Made in Germany") w/Quafie built for Mike Potter of Parts4Vws to run one lap in the 2003 America Race. I got a clutchnet stage 5 clutch w/aluminum flywheel and stage II raxles. Its proably the closest ratio 6spd in the country, not exactly what I want but its got hardned gears and upgraded syncros..

This transmission was in the car featured in this article: http://www.europeancarweb.com/tuned/0403ec_2002_volkswagen_24v_gti/index.html

nice i know that tranny did you end up buying from that dude in Colorado with a 24v ? if i remember correctly it has a bettle cup racing clutch in it before Poterman sold it. I remember him telling me the dude from kraftswerk told him to only use a certain tranny fluid in it made by vw. its what i use in my ride im sure you can use others but this one is some pretty good shit if you want the part number let me know i can get it for you

yea I got it from a kid locally w/a 24v.. Wish It didnt have a clutchnet.. I'll proably be putting a Southbend Stage V in once this one bites the dust.. or mebe even a dual disk clutch  pleeease?

I found Kraftswerk number on the Pelquin website, I plan on calling him and getting all the info and recommendations I can on the gearbox.. just haven't gotten around to it.

word yeah the dude from kraftswerks is a trip ive talked to him before a few times sometimes he is cool and others he is just a dick. i guess you got to catch him at the right time

if you have any questions on the tranny i would recommend calling potterman @ parts4vw and ask him about it. he should know it inside and out

yea but its Halon 1211, not how sure I want that going off in-cab.. guess suffocating does beat being burned alive.  Thinking of plumbing it through the firewall into the engine bay where it could possibly prove usefull and not deadly. It came with all the mounting hardware to mount it to the roll bar behind my seat. It would have to be removed for racing tho, Halon 1211 is not allowed for sanctioned racing anymore.

this roll cage was out of a B5 S4 so the support beams are gona need yer attention, you back in town yet? I am waiting on my BOV but we can drag this to yer place whenever is the best time for ya.

I mounted my stock golf front and rear valences today, mounted up my external kill switch.. this is required for me to pass tech inspection at any race course because I have my battery re-located. It wont be functional and will have the key removed while I am in street mode but with a flip of a switch and all my power will be routed through this switch... allowing them to kill the power/motor easy if anything bad should happen.

Needs to be wired still obviously, If you look you can see a grommet a few inches to the left where my tube comes up behind the bumper.. that'll be where I run the wires through to the inside.

Encase anyone else re-locates there battery and still wants to take it to the drag strip this was STUPID easy, just took a few bong hits to figure it all out :P

no more visible exhaust tip either   cheers
