So I finished my DIY Ceramic coating, here are the results after a 2 hour cure at 450 degrees.. Props to Mattocks Motorsports locally that lended me time in his paint booth, sand blaster & oven.. He should be done powdercoating my stuff here soon!

Here is what I used:

I applied a coat just thick enough to completely coat the parts using a simple art airbrush and some attention to detail :-)

When I go back to do my downpipe I think I am going to do that piece on the wastegate aswell.. The finish is going to loose some of the shine once its been heatcycled a few times but it adhered extremely well and should still look great and perform very well keeping temps down..

Started to tuck wires, here are some crappy shots.. I'll get some better pi x once I get motor mounts back from coater.. I am basically pulling it behind brake cylinder and into frame rail behind the tranny mount... I'll mount and wire most of the shit under the frame rail and then fab up a shield to protect it.

Before:

After:

Also gona delete expansion tank and secondary water pump.. mmm, fun times

Its finally time to start putting shit back together instead of taking it apart!

Polished up Alternator & Got my load back from the powder coater..

I got my wire tuck figured out, and most of the work done I'll finish that up this weekend and try to get all the accessories back on the motor and it prepped and ready to go in to the car where it belongs.

Kraftswerks European o2m ("Made in Germany") w/Quafie built for Mike Potter of Parts4Vws to run one lap in the 2003 America Race. I got a clutchnet stage 5 clutch w/aluminum flywheel and stage II raxles. Its proably the closest ratio 6spd in the country, not exactly what I want but its got hardned gears and upgraded syncros..

This transmission was in the car featured in this article: http://www.europeancarweb.com/tuned/0403ec_2002_volkswagen_24v_gti/index.html
