Just throwing this out there incase anyone has experience and think I should stop what I'm planning.

I've got an Alpine 9830 Deck in my Taco, I sourced a Sirius SIR-ALP1 (discontinued) that will work with my older deck.  Anyone have anything bad to say about the ALP1 combined with an older (~2004) Alpine deck?

Also if anyone has Sirius and would be willing to add me to their account as a 2nd radio....  I planned to pay in advance for 1 year.

I've had xm since 2001, but you're with Sirius.

Well the ALP1 unit was defective, so I got setup using the Alpine integrator unit, and the Sirius box, more than I wanted to wire and hide, but it works great.  Took a few times to activate, went online, the webpage froze.  Called and it was a system error.  Went back inside for a quicky and it was ready to rock when I was done.  Loving it so far.
