is there a trick that i dont know of to getting the pipe back into the water pump? i tried for a good twenty minutes and i cant get it in at all.... duff, paul, scuba?

its just the oem plastic one... i tried putting a little oil on it and it still wouldnt go.  maybe i need to sand down the water pump to clean some of the shit out of it... i'll try a little more lube tomorrow, maybe i just wasnt liberal enough.

i hate mk3's.  you shouldnt have to pull the entire motor apart to fix a fucking coolant leak

yeah, her crack pipe didnt even break. it was the hose going from the oil cooler to the block.  but i replace both those hoses and the pipe. i already told her i'm not doing that again.

those 2 hoses make the samco kit worth while in my mind...but only if you plan on keeping the car a long while.

its a shame you cant buy just those 2 hoses from samco, easily.

i take it a little sand paper/emry cloth and more lube worked out?

Can you not approach SiliconHoses.com to see whether they'd do them?

thats a good idea, but how would you hold it in the waterpump... seems to me its just held in there 1 by rust build up and by the fact that the other end cant go anywhere once bolted in.  and i dont work there anymore so... i have no say in what is made.

duff, i havent tried today... its about 98 with 100% humidity and the mosquitos around here eat people alive... and i'm out of off. i think if i sand down that build up a bit and lube it more liberally it will go in.
