I personally am going to go look at the new G1 that Tmobile is coming out with...if it can operate as fluidly as the iphone and come with MMS, IM style texting, and a copy/paste feature, i'm jumping ship to the google Android OS. an iPhone on tmobile is just getting to be too much of a hastle. and fuck going to the deathstar...

hopefully the Blackberry Storm will improve where the new iphone didnt. needs a horizontal keyboard for texting. damn iphone sucks ass for texting.

u must text slow then. i live off of my phones since i use them for work. need to be able to email and text extremely fast and iv tried on my friends iphone and its just not fast enough if you type fast, doesnt register you hit anything. maybe its just me, but either way they should added the option, just like video recording. but its just the plan to keep getting people to spend money.

No, I text really fast.  Also, it does register, even if you're going so fast that it's not showing it on the screen.

I think you just really suck at these sort of things (i.e. life, sex, and drinking coffee).

my text speed is speeding up, still not like typing on a keyboard but in some ways it is much better... like when I have to add punctuation.  Though, I've never used a horizontal blackberry keyboard for any significant amount of time.

I'm still on the 1st gen iphone and loving it... not going to upgrade until they cram 32+gb into the phone next summer...  but by then... who knows.  at the rate our economy is going wireless data speeds will be shit into the foreseeable future.  The next economic crisis will be the phone bubble... new phones every year, a crisis because people can't pay their early termination fees.

typing on the iphone takes some getting used to, i'll admit that. but i type faster on it than on my Dash (HTC620)...and it's got a better dictionary than the Dash. although typing one handed while driving is trickier as you can't feel your way around the keyboard...

...but i'm pretty sure i saw secret video of the BB Thunder/Storm having a sidewards keyboard function based on the/an accelerometer.

as for "options" that the iphone could have...i'm sure it could have all of that stuff done for it.

There are apps for jailbroken phones to send MMS (swirlyMMS)
i've heard there is a flash player app/plugin in the works for a jailbroken phone...
copy/paste seems like a gimme, but not so much to Apple.
video recording....meh. there's an app for it (showtime), but i never used it. i've never used any video recording feature on my phone.

there's all kinds of shit out there, if you want to hack the stupid thing.
