so, insted of buying silly expensive camber bolts that are basicly a bolt w/ a goofy off cetner shank. coldnt u use some grade 8 bolts that are a touch skinier than the OEM bolts? i mean, its nto like yoru ever going to snap one, and they will tighten down plenty well enough to hold things in palce just fine. granted they have more potental to move around, but a bolt w/ a off camber center hsnak isnt going tobe any stronger (maybe weeker by vertu of its biuld desing). only advantage to the off center shank is that it is going to actuly make contact w/ the nuckle for the most part as it go's thru the nuckel where your new skini bolt is nly going to make partual if any contact. i remember early rabits having skini shank bolts to help adjsut there camber a bit further than a newer rabit. i used to steel all the early rabbit bolts i could to use on my mk2's that were lowerd but now a days u dotn find any many rabbits around. so why not hit the hard wear store adn buy basicly the same bolt right off the shelf for liek 5buks a side vs. 20-40buks a side for soem sudo "fix" bolt?..... granted over time things will have a tendincy to mvoe around but, that happens any how like it or not.....
any hoot figure someone else will have info to add to this so im makign a topic to get the ball rolling!

The offset head allows you to adjust the camber while the cars on teh ground, a bit easier that just sliding the housing around by hand. With the head you can adjust it via a bolt. Will A1 camber bolts work? I know I use to have a box of 'em around.

i remeber having a few mk1 bolts that i was told were only in early cars, they had skinky ass hanks and big heads. made it so i could squeze a tad more camber adjustmetn out of my car. tehre was only 1 skiny bolt per side. i woudl use 2 cars worth the skiny bolts on my 1 car so i could have 4 skiniy bolts and dial shit in better. i dont think i ever found any w/ teh cam style center shank. maybe they were. its been a while since i played w/ any of that shizy. i ask as my mk3 sits damn lwo and its barlty at a ok palce in its alingment. i refused to pay teh insane price the alingmetn shop wanted for parts to as they put it "bring it clsoer into spec" ......
i need a poop and a nap!
thanks
