this was all in the last jobs (11years) starting in '97 from current to past.
-Intel Development Fab perfecting the processes that make the wafers what they are and then pass it on to the HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) Fabs. I've been here for 4years now.
-FEI Company configuring the computers for the wafer/defect analysis tools which were Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM). Anything that had to do with a computer, it was my doing. 2years
-Bestbuy working in the Tech/Service Area as it was the only job I could find because of 9/11. Had an interview for Flight Dynamics (Rockwell Collins) that would have had me working on the HUDS (Heads Up Guidance Display Systems) and the Surface Guidance Displays systems. Was to be hired, but job freeze was everywhere. if only I didn't have the interview on 9/11. 1year
-U.S. Navy, Aviation Electronics Technician working on the AN/ALQ-99 Electronic Warfare System on the EA-6B Prowlers. Basically the Waveform Generators (Exciters) that controlled all of the signals outputted to the RADAR transmitters. yes, I came out with disability as well. -4years

so you're using it as a user and not an admin account? did you set it up, did he or was it an existing profile? you're able to get to the utilities section after booting while holding down c? If not open firmware password is set. kind of hard to determine what you can and can't do over the internet.
boot to os x via user or admin profile??
boot holding c to get to utilities?
have you checked the accounts section to see what type of user you are?? also sending you a pm....

in OS X... like, for example, when you want to install updates!!!
aahh, let me see what I can find out for you if it gets a little slow at work tonight. One other option would be to install a fresh copy of leopard on it. Copy all data to external harddrive and go through it there. Last option would be to pull harddrive copy all data, replace and install. That's if admin password will not allow copying while running. Hold tight and I'll get back to you.

Looking at picking one up soon. I know about battery tender, what about battery minder and why? Read that tender floatings and minder is trickle. Tim was telling me that minder was better, but which one is actually better at keeping the battery alive longer?

yeah, small 2.5" western digital external drive 360gig hdd is $139 @ costco. The drive is the Scorpio model and it's a sata drive with a mini USB to sata adapter. Great for the small footprint and hdd size.

just curious what others are using for data backups? ie: storage devices, hardware, software and whatnots.... NAS, RAID (which one), external hdds, servers???
Just posting this as I know most people don't think about it until it's too late and the nano-gremlins ate their data. Hopefully not after midnight!!!
