any idea what options there are for low cost/durable turbo replacements for one of these?

I might know where a 2001 is...  wave

I SAW some company making a conversonkit to put 1 GT___ trubo onot them that people were loving. its been a hwile sice i looked into that stuff after all no methed out EX around any more to wreck hers daily

i htnk he meant low cost for a baller who rolls a repair bill with wheels.......... haha...... as much as i liked to drive that car it was such a whore on the pocket book. jut glad it wasnt my pocekt book

K04's are actually cheaper to buy aftermarket then K03s.

Used good condition K04's are harder to find then good condition K03s. When mine blow I'm pulling the motor going single turbo and putting standalone on it. It's cheaper then K04s and inlets.

Yeah, after I posted that about the K04's, I asked my buddies at JBS and they said that every stock K04 that they see is cracked.

We never had anything that came stock with K04's except TT's and the packaging is way different.

what are the ko3's like? iv got a few of them in teh sop and i htink RS ahs a few also. bu tthey are alloff 4 bangers. so,..... prob not the right configureation for your set up.

So what did the 2.7 Bi-T AllRoad come with then?  K03/K03s?

JBS do a modified K04 in a K03 housing for GTI's etc...  They're good for about 300bhp on a 1.8T IIRC.

Other than that, get some fucking big boys on it and have some fun!

its a 2002 with 90k, already had t-belt stuff taken care of about 5k ago.

needs cats (or something) and turbos to work right.. would need a clutch and inlets if I was going with the k04.

I'm going to see if I can get funded for this thing today...
